Atishi charges BJP employees of plotting to vandalize the Delhi Jal Board headquarters

Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj charged BJP leaders and employees of damaging a Delhi Jal Board building on Sunday during demonstrations over the acute water scarcity in the nation's capital.


On Sunday, Delhi Water Minister Atishi said that members of the BJP were planning a plot to harm the citizens of the nation's capital and accused them of vandalizing a Delhi Jal Board office in south Delhi.


At a news conference, she said that the BJP is doing all in its power to cause problems for the people of Delhi.Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj charged BJP leaders and employees of damaging a Delhi Jal Board building on Sunday during demonstrations over the acute water scarcity in the nation's capital.Due to the water scarcity, BJP leaders organized protests against the AAP administration earlier in the day in many parts of Delhi.


The initial phase of the plot included the Haryanan government cutting Delhi's water supply. The top AAP politician said that the Munak Canal is getting less water and that the Wazirabad barrage is dry as of today (Sunday).


Due to yesterday's deliberate breaking of the main pipeline, several areas in south Delhi were left without water this morning (Saturday). Step two: damage water pipes and cause supply disruptions. The third step was the BJP deploying thugs to the Delhi Jal Board headquarters to cause a commotion, as was made public today, the speaker remarked.The BJP did not immediately provide a response.


According to Atishi, staff from the Delhi Jal Board would report the vandalism incident to the police."Will a FIR be filed by the Delhi Police? "Will the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi act?" she enquired.In a letter to Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, Atishi has also asked for the deployment of officers to monitor and guard important pipelines for the next fifteen days.
