When a groom leaves before being married, is it our fault? MP CM reacts to the Cong candidate's withdrawal in Indore

The chief minister said that the opposition party, which is currently without a candidate for the May 13 election in Indore, was demeaning democracy by urging people to use the NOTA (None Of The Above) option.

Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mohan Yadav poked fun at the Congress Party on Saturday, claiming that it was not their fault if the "bridegroom fled before the wedding," in reference to the party's late withdrawal of its candidate for the Indore Lok Sabha seat.

In Indore, the Congress suffered a blow when their nominee, Akshay Kumar Bam, withdrew his candidacy on April 29, the deadline for withdrawal, and subsequently joined the BJP.The Congress said that the BJP committed a transgression in Indore. What did we do wrong? At the BJP's campaign rally near Betma, Yadav said, "It's like inviting the whole village to the wedding feast and the groom running away before the marriage ceremony."

The chief minister added that the opposition party, which is currently without a candidate for the May 13 election in Indore, was demeaning democracy by encouraging locals to choose NOTA (None Of The Above)."Whose responsibility is it if someone's kid runs away from home? "You should take care of them; after all, they are your children," he remarked.Later, Yadav took part in a roadshow in Indore, supporting incumbent MP and BJP candidate Shankar Lalwani.Yadav made references to the classic Ramayana and the city of Lanka, the capital of its arch-villain Ravan, when he referred to the opposition's INDIA bloc as the "Ghamandiya" coalition. "These conceited individuals were born in Sri Lanka during the reign of Lord Ram, seventeen lakh years ago.

The chief minister said at the roadshow that "they posed as fake saffron-clad (monks) to abduct Sita due to the bankruptcy of their intelligence.""Mother Sita made the mistake of crossing the `Lakshman Rekha,' but the people of Indore ought to ease that they will not cross the Lakshman Rekha under any circumstances," he urged, urging the electorate to reject the Congress' call to choose NOTA.

Aimed at state Congress president Jitu Patwari, an Indore native, Yadav said that Patwari was afraid to run in the Lok Sabha election after his loss to BJP candidate Madhu Verma in the Rau seat in the district during the previous year's assembly elections. However, he noted that other Congressmen who were 80 years old were also running for office.Yadav said that the Congress's transfer of the Khajuraho Lok Sabha constituency to the Samajwadi Party as part of a seat-sharing arrangement demonstrated the party's fear of elections.
