This year, Nintendo anticipates selling 13.5 million Switch consoles
The hybrid home-portable gadget was introduced in 2017 and was sold in 15.7 million units by the Kyoto-based gaming corporation last year. In February, Nintendo increased their projection for the whole year to 15.5 million units.
In the fiscal year that ends in March 2025, Nintendo anticipates selling 13.5 million Switch devices, the company announced on Tuesday.

Hit games like "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" have allowed Nintendo to prolong the life of the Switch device, but the market is now more concerned with the release date and potential of next-generation technology.
With two confirmed releases this month—"Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door" later this month and "Luigi's Mansion 2" in June—the studio is seen as having a weak pipeline for this year.
Nintendo's stock rose 2.4% in front of results, and it has risen 5.4% so far this year.
