Tell Sharad Pawar and Uddhav to join Ajit and Eknath Shinde instead of dying with the Congress, PM Modi said

"A prominent figure in this area, active for 40–50 years, is concerned after the Baramati (Lok Sabha seat) polls. Without mentioning Sharad Pawar, Modi said that smaller parties would combine with the Congress after June 4 in order to survive.

After the results of the June 4 Lok Sabha election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked on Friday that the "duplicate NCP and Shiv Sena" have decided to combine with the Congress, but they should instead form forces with Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde.

"A prominent figure in this area, active for 40–50 years, is concerned after the Baramati (Lok Sabha seat) polls. Without mentioning Sharad Pawar, Modi said that smaller parties would combine with the Congress after June 4 in order to survive.

"This indicates that the Nakli NCP and Nakli Shiv Sena have resolved to unite with the Congress," Modi said at an election rally in the north Maharashtra district of Nandurbar.

Modi said, "But rather than dying by uniting with the Congress, come to Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde."

"A number of regional parties will become closer allies of the Congress in the coming years. If they think it would be better for their party, they may even consider combining with the Congress, Sharad Pawar had told The Indian Express.

During his speech at the event, Modi also said that the Congress was planning to eradicate the "Hindu aastha" (religion). He said, "The Congress guru, Shehzada, has informed the United States that the Ram temple and the Ram Navmi celebrations are inimical to the Indian concept."

Modi said that individuals from the duplicate Sena are talking of burying him alive, presumably in connection to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut's purported remark about "burying him in Maharashtra just like Mughal emperor Aurangzeb".

"My goal is to be buried alive by the Shiv Sena nakli. They mistreat me in a manner that would appeal to their preferred voter base," Modi said.

According to him, giving quota privileges based on a person's religion goes against the core ideals and values of our Constitution.

"As long as Modi is alive, I will not let concessions of Dalits, adivasis, OBCs to be given to Muslims on basis of beliefs," he said.
