Magenta and Switch Mobility inked a preliminary agreement for the two-year pan-India deployment of 500 units of the company's newly released eLCV leV4.
Through this collaboration, Magenta Mobility hopes to improve its mid- and last-mile intra-city operations for customers throughout the nation by using Switch Mobility's expertise in commercial electric cars, the company said.
It went on to say that the partnership is ready to establish brand-new, ground-breaking benchmarks for EV logistics and the transportation industry at large.
According to Maxson Lewis, Founder & CEO of Magenta Mobility, the company is excited to collaborate with Switch Mobility in order to strengthen its resolve to decarbonize logistics in India.
We will be able to provide our customers with a higher payload capacity thanks to these eLCVs. We will be providing a tremendous opportunity for the logistics industry to transition to electric vehicles when we combine this with our current fleet management, charging, and technology platforms," said Lewis.
The 3.5 ton category eLCV IeV4 from Switch Mobility has a 1,700 kg payload capacity and a 32.2 kWh battery.
Magenta said that as part of its expansion objectives for this fiscal year, which also include a goal to deploy 10,000 EVs by September 2025, it intends to enhance its eLCV sector.
The strategic alliance we have formed with Magenta Mobility bolsters our resolve to work toward a greener future. Mahesh Babu, CEO of Switch Mobility, said, "Magenta Mobility offers a data-driven approach that perfectly fits our mission.
