This is the day's second incident involving an Air India aircraft.


Today's flight AI-807 from Delhi, carrying 175 people, had to return owing to a possible fire in the air conditioning unit of the aircraft.


A suspected fire in the aircraft's air conditioning unit forced an Air India flight carrying 175 passengers to return after takeoff from Delhi today. The airplane returned to Delhi and made a safe landing, an official at the airport said, as cited by news agency ANI.


This is the second incident involving an Air India aircraft that has occurred today. Earlier on Friday, airline sources said that an Air India aircraft headed for Delhi was forced to cancel after it collided with a baggage tractor trolley during takeoff at the Pune airport. There were roughly 200 people on board the aircraft and after the event, they became delayed at the airport for around six hours, the sources stated.According to Air India, travelers received a full refund of their tickets along with a free reschedule option.
