BJD government in Odisha will end on June 4th, PM Modi

Speaking at his maiden state election rally, Modi asked voters to give the BJP a chance to elevate Odisha to the top spot in the nation.

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the BJD administration in Odisha has run its course and would fall on June 4, the day the results of the assembly poll are declared.

Speaking at his maiden state election rally, Modi asked voters to give the BJP a chance to elevate Odisha to the top spot in the nation.

With a seemingly playful jab at BJD chief minister and president Naveen Patnaik, the prime minister stated that "Odisha needs a CM who appreciates Odia language and culture."

"After the elections, the BJP will create a double-engine government here. At the Berhampur rally, Modi said, "The BJD government's expiration date is June 4, 2024."

Additionally, he said that the Ayushman Bharat Yojana has not benefited Odisha since the state's "BJD government did not implement" it.

Under the 'Jal Jeevan Mission' initiative, the Centre handed Odisha Rs 10,000 crore; however, the BJD dispensation was unable to use the funds appropriately.

"You have granted Congress 50 years and BJD 25 years. Give the BJP five years, please. At the event, Modi said, "We will elevate Odisha to the top state in the nation."

Despite Odisha's seacoast, mineral wealth, and lush terrain, he said, the state's population is nonetheless impoverished.

"We unveiled a bold platform for Odisha that promised healthcare services for the elderly and employment for women and young people. The BJP delivers on its promises, said Modi.

In Odisha, the assembly and Lok Sabha elections will take place at the same time.
