Siddaramaiah would not obey the Cong high command after the outcome of the 2024 Lok Sabha election: Kumaraswamy HD

"Whatever decision he (Siddaramaiah) wants to take, he will take in order to keep going as the chief minister," Kumaraswamy said in an interview interview news agency ANI for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

JD(S) chief HD Kumaraswamy in an ANI interview.

On April 20, Janata Dal (Secular) leader HD Kumaraswamy said that the Congress planned to dismantle the party that his father, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, had built. Additionally, he attacked Siddaramaiah, claiming that the Congressman will stop at nothing to maintain his position as Karnataka's chief minister.

"Siddaramaiah is not going to show the Congress high Command any respect following the results of the 2024 poll." He has no allegiance to any party. He simply feels a connection to the (CM) chair. We are aware of his personality... Janata Dal is the source of Siddaramaiah. "He will pursue any course of action he sees fit to maintain his position as chief minister," Kumaraswamy said in an interview with the news agency ANI.

The former chief minister of Karnataka spoke on the formation and dissolution of the JD(S)-Congress administration, saying, "We supported Congress from 2004 to 2006." Karnataka then turned down the Congress, which had won sixty-six seats. The party did not get a majority. Despite our party's 58 seats, Congress has made it plain that JD(S) would not be receiving the position of CM. Congress and JD(S) teamed together to prevent the BJP from taking over Karnataka. Nevertheless, we had a negative experience as the party mistreated us after it came to power.

Kumaraswamy also remembered the criticism of JD(S) by Congress at a public conference held before to the 2018 assembly elections. "Some allies of Congress attacked JD(S)'s position and said in the open that we were the BJP's B Team. In actuality, at the time, we were at odds with the Congress as well as the BJP," he said.

With confidence in the NDA - BJP & JD(S) coalition - winning all 28 seats in Karnataka, the former chief minister of Karnataka, who is standing for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections from Mandya, too expressed her optimism.
