According to the statement, a total of Rs 9 crore has been set aside annually for this purpose.


On Monday, the government of Odisha announced plans to provide cash for research efforts to state-run medical institutions and postgraduate institutes.


All state-run medical and dental schools as well as postgraduate institutes would get funding, according to a statement from the administration, in an effort to improve the standard of medical education and research in the region. The SCB Medical College and Hospital (MCH) in Cuttack, MKCG MCH in Berhampur, and VIMSAR in Burla would each get an annual allocation of Rs 1 crore.


Similarly, the new government medical institutions in Cuttack as well as the SCB Dental College would get an annual allocation of Rs 50 lakh. The SCB Medical College and Hospital (MCH) in Cuttack, MKCG MCH in Berhampur, and VIMSAR in Burla would each get an annual allocation of Rs 1 crore. Every state-run postgraduate institution would get Rs 25 lakh annually.
