To deliver a notice in the MLA horse-trading case, Delhi Police made their way to Arvind Kejriwal's home
A team from the Delhi Police Crime Branch went to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's home to deliver a notice requesting an inquiry into the MLA horse-trading scandal.
Arriving at CM Arvind Kejriwal's home, the Delhi Police Crime Branch team served notice that they would be joining the probe into the MLA horse-trading issue.
On Saturday morning, CM Arvind Kejriwal's home was visited by a Delhi Police Crime Branch team delivering a notice to join the MLA horse-trading case probe. He was requested to provide proof by the police.
Police officers had arrived here on Friday to give the BJP a notice in response to the Aam Aadmi Party's accusation that they were "trying to buy AAP MLAs".
Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, has also been contacted by ACP Crime Branch Pankaj Arora. "The notification is prepared for acceptance by the CM office. Crime Branch officers are not "receiving" the CM office, according to Delhi CMO sources.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had previously retaliated against Kejriwal, claiming that the BJP had promised seven AAP MLAs tickets to run in the polls and a sum of Rs 25 crore in exchange for their switching sides. The allegations were deemed "false" and "baseless" by the BJP. Additionally, CM Kejriwal was urged by the saffron party to substantiate its claims.
Seven party MLAs were allegedly promised Rs 25 crore apiece and a BJP ticket to run in the polls if they switched sides, according to AAP officials, including convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
After the accusations, Virendra Sachdeva, the head of the Delhi BJP, urged Kejriwal to quit "lying" and asked him to identify the MLAs whom the AAP chairman stated the BJP had contacted.
"Kejriwal expressed his political annoyance in his remark. He said the BJP seeks to remove the MLAs from his party. This is a reflection of both his mental collapse and the party's loss of political territory, with 62 MLAs out of the Assembly's 70 members. How disappointing," she remarked.
Chief Minister Kejriwal, according to Delhi Assembly Leader of the Opposition Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, has made "false allegations to defame the BJP".
Bidhuri said, "He ought to present proof of his statement otherwise he should resign from the post of Chief Minister." He stated that the BJP is consulting experts before initiating legal action in this regard.
Additionally, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's growing popularity after the dedication of the Ram temple in Ayodhya is shattering Arvind Kejriwal's ambition to become a well-known political figure in the nation.
AAP leaders have further claimed that the BJP is planning to remove AAP MLAs from government and have Kejriwal jailed in a "fake" liquor scam case.
Despite four notifications from the Enforcement Directorate to appear for interrogation in a money laundering case pertaining to the purported excise policy fraud in his administration, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has not done so thus far.
