Tata Power receives a letter of intent for the Rs. 838 crore Jalpura Khurja power transmission project
Building upon the Build-Own-Operate Transfer (BOOT) model, the project SPV will provide transmission services for 35 years after the planned date of commercial operation (SCOD), or 18 months from the date of SPV purchase.
REC Limited is an infrastructure financing company (IFC) as well as non-banking finance company (NBFC) within the Ministry of Power.
On Friday, Tata Power said that it has obtained a letter of intent from REC Power Development as well as Consultancy to proceed with the development of the Jalpura Khurja power transmission project, with an approximate cost of Rs 838 crore.
Tata Power said in an exchange filing that it has obtained a letter of intent (LOI) for Jalpura Khurja Power Transmission Limited, a project to pick up special purpose vehicles, from REC Power Development as well as Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a fully owned subsidiary of REC Limited. Tata Power said that the project will likely cost Rs 838 crore.

REC Incorporated is an infrastructure financing company (IFC) as well as non-banking finance company (NBFC) under the Ministry of Power.
