Alexei Navalny's mother Lydumila received an official notification, according to Navalny's spokesperson Kira Yarmysh, who confirmed Navalny's death on Saturday. Writing on what was now Twitter, Yarmysh asked that Navalny's corpse be given to his family right away.

"Alexey Navalny died in a homicide. A representative for Navalny tweeted, "He passed away on February 16 at 2:17 p.m. local time, per the official message to Alexei's mother."
