On Sunday at 11.30 a.m., Modi will give a speech to the public at a gathering held in the Khanapara playground of the Veterinary College. During his speech, a number of state and federal projects will be launched.


At a cost of Rs 3,250 crore, Modi will lay the cornerstone of the new, integrated Gauhati Medical College and Hospital complex.

On a two-day visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Guwahati on Saturday. He will meet with the state core committee of the BJP and introduce development projects valued at around Rs 11,600 crore.


At around 6.30 p.m., the Prime Minister arrived at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport from Odisha and proceeded to the Koinadhara State Guest House.


The Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, the Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, the State Ministers, and high-ranking law enforcement and public servants all greeted Modi. The primary projects for which the foundation stone will be placed are Chandrapur (Rs 831 crore), the six-lane road connecting the new airport terminal in Guwahati (Rs 358 crore), the Kamakhya Temple Corridor (Rs 498 crore), as well as the upgrading of Nehru Stadium to FIFA standards (Rs 831 crore). 300 crores is the cost of a new sports facility.


The Prime Minister will also introduce Asom Mala Roads, the second edition. This phase would cost Rs 3,444 crore in total and comprise 38 concrete bridges and 43 new roads.


Aside from this, Modi will lay the cornerstone of the Rs 3,250 crore integrated new Guwahati Medical College and Hospital structure.


In addition, he will lay the cornerstone for the projected Karimganj Medical College and Hospital, which would cost Rs 578 crore to build, as well as the Rs 297 crore Unity Mall in Guwahati.
