Shamar Joseph, a rising star from the West Indies, has secured his maiden Indian Premier League contract, taking over for England fast bowler Mark Wood in the 2024 competition.


The T20 league stated that Shamar would take Wood's spot at the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in a statement.


Completely matched In the IPL 2024, Wood won't play

Wood, who is now on a three-test tour of India with the England Test team, participated in the first Test in Hyderabad and will be up for selection in the next three. Shamar's first IPL game
