India will not assist Canada in its investigation into the death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar unless proof is shared: Report

A week ago, Canadian officials needed precise and pertinent proof, according to High Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Verma, who spoke with the Globe and Mail.

India's High Commissioner to Canada told the Canadian newspaper the Globe and Mail newspaper in an interview that was published on Monday that India would not provide information to Canadian authorities investigating the death of a Sikh separatist leader until Canada gives proof.

The Globe and Mail was informed one week earlier by High Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Verma that "we need specific and relevant evidence to help the Canadian authorities."

We won't be able to assist Canadian police in any way until we see anything particular and pertinent.
