FanCode, an Indian over-the-top sports platform, announced a collaboration with Formula 1 (F1) motor racing on Thursday. As a result, FanCode has secured exclusive broadcast rights for the 2024 and 2025 seasons in the Indian market.

According to a press statement from the firm, Indian fans will get access to the longest F1 season ever, which consists of 24 races and begins on Thursday in Bahrain, via FanCode on a variety of devices, including smart TVs, smartphones, and tablets.

The business said that F1 fans would be able to pay to watch the races, although not disclosing the financial specifics of securing the streaming rights. The Season Pass will retail for ₹899, but with an initial price, it will only cost ₹559 for the Race Pass.

We are excited to work with Formula 1, one of the largest sports assets in the world, to offer all the thrilling action to the millions of Indian fans. FanCode co-founder Yannick Colaco said in a statement, "We look ahead to taking the game to a larger audience across the country in alongside providing F1 fans with a world-class experience."

Indian fans of the sport will be able to choose what they want to watch with individual Race Passes. F1 race broadcasting on FanCode will include all practice including qualifying sessions, F1 Sprint events, as well as Grands Prix throughout the season. The firm went on, "or a season pass to watch all 24 races."

This comes after F1 decided to stop using Disney Star to webcast its premier racing event in India the previous year. In order to serve people in the area, the organization at that time introduced F1 TV, its own streaming service.

To put things in perspective, F1 TV offered the show via two passes: the F1 TV Pro membership, which would have cost around ₹2,487 for a year, or the F1 TV Access plan, which would have costing approximately ₹1,657 for a year.

"I'm happy to say that for the next two seasons, F1 fans in India will be able to follow the sport on FanCode. Ian Holmes, director of media rights and content creation at Formula 1, said, "collectively, we will use our combined expertise to create premium content that highlights the great spectacle of a sport like F1."
