Due to the farmers' Parliament march, Noida Police has increased security at the Delhi borders, slowing down traffic on many roads, including the DND and the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.

It is significant that Section 144 of the CrPC was put into effect by the Gautam Buddha Nagar Police today.


In light of the farmers' protest on tractors, police also issued a traffic advisory warning commuters not to divert on certain roads in the twin cities.


"Barriers are being installed across all borders of Delhi and at Kisan Chowk as well as other places in view of the farmers' agitation," a police spokesman said. The farmers are revolting, but why?

In lieu of the properties that local development agencies would begin to take possession of in December 2023, farmer organizations in Noida and Greater Noida have begun staging protests in order to demand more money and developed plots.


10% of the land is what the farmers under the United Kisan Morcha and All India Kisan Sabha are requesting.


For the last five months, farmers from around 40 villages have been camped in Noida. For the last two months, they have been seated outside the Noida Authority headquarters in Sector 6.


Farmers demonstrate: Avoid these routes in Noida on February 8

The road from Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk to Harola Chowk as well as from Golchakkar Chowk Sector 15 to Sector 06 Chowki Chowk would be totally blocked to traffic. Golchakkar Chowk, Sector 15, Rajnigandha Chowk, Sector 06 Chowki Chowk, Jhundpura Chowk, Sector 8.10.11.12 Chowk, including Harola Chowk will have traffic redirected as needed. Drivers may choose the following routes to get to their destination in order to prevent traffic inconvenience:


1. Vehicles traveling from Golchakkar Chowk Sector 15 to Rajnigandha Chowk to Jhundpura Chowk via Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk would be able to reach their destination.


2. Vehicles traveling from Jhundpura Chowk to Golchakkar Chowk Sector 15 would be able to go to their destination by way of Sector 8.10.11.12 Chowk from Jhundpura Chowk.


3. Vehicles traveling from Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk past Harola Chowk to Rohan Motors Tiraha, IGL Chowk Sector 01 via Golchakkar Chowk or Ashok Nagar may arrive at their destination.


4. Vehicles traveling from Harola Chowk to Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk would be able to get there by passing via Sector 16 Market.


5-Traffic heading towards Sectors 18, 27, 37, etc. from Golchakkar Chowk via Rajnigandha Chowk will be able to go there as usual.


6. In the event of a traffic congestion on DND, vehicles traveling from DND to Delhi via the MP-01 route or the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway would be able to reach their destination via the Chilla red light.


7- In the event of a traffic bottleneck at Chilla Red Light, vehicles traveling from the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway towards Delhi would be able to reach their destination via DND.


8-In the event of a traffic bottleneck on the DND, traffic from the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway heading to Delhi via DND and Chilla via Mahamaya flyover would divert via the Charkha junction to the Sector 94 underpass, then use the Mahamaya flyover to Sectors 37, 18, 16, and 15. Through Ashok Nagar, one may go to the destination.


9- Traffic from the Filmcity overpass at the Dalit Prerna Sthal Gate No. 02, Sector 95 (Bird Feeding Point), heading towards DND, Chilla, and traveling to Delhi via Chilla in the event of a traffic block on DND. Reaching the objective via Sector 18, 16, 15 to Ashok Nagar or elevated route via Sector 60, 62, NH-24 are two options available from Sector 18 rising loop.


10. Emergency vehicles will be sent to secure locations during the diversion.
