Elon Musk announces his idea to settle a million people on Mars

Elon Musk says, "One day, a trip to Mars will be like a flight across the country," as he concentrates on populating the planet.

Let's take is owned by Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla.

Elon Musk, the creator of SpaceX, has made public his audacious intentions to build a human colony on Mars in the coming years. Musk said on social media on Sunday that he wants to settle a million people on Mars, claiming that "Mars can survive even if civilization overcomes the single-planet Great Filter" and that "the supply ships should stop coming."

In response to a post detailing the capabilities of SpaceX's Starship rocket, which Musk asserts would be useful in accomplishing his Mars aspirations, he made his remarks. "One day, a trip to Mars will be like flying across the country," he said on Twitter.

Musk's aspirations for a celestial Mars are not new. The software billionaire has long expressed his desire to see mankind become "multi-planetary," often referring to human habitation on Mars as a safeguard against the collapse of civilization. But based on their most recent comments, it seems like SpaceX is making a lot of effort over the next years to make this vision a reality.

Musk had said only last week that Starship may go to the moon in five years. Additionally, he said that humans would go farther into orbit in SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft than they have in more than 50 years. Musk concedes that, despite his ambitions, it will take a great deal of work and creativity to develop a self-sustaining colony on Mars.

They have already spoken about future intentions to construct a permanent lunar outpost. Sambar was tweeted by Musk with the following message: "Humanity should have a base on the Moon, a city on Mars, and be out there among the stars."

Musk is renowned for setting lofty goals, yet his businesses have accomplished significant feats that were previously unthinkable, including reusable orbital rockets. Mars still has to overcome formidable technical obstacles.

The latest test flight of Starship resulted in an explosive crash, demonstrating the continued glacial pace of innovation. Musk thinks that the vehicle's capabilities will be shown when the third test of the year ultimately reaches orbit.
