Andhra Pradesh's TDP will undoubtedly rejoin the NDA, as Chandrababu's party is prepared to throw up 20 assembly seats and six Lok Sabha seats to the BJP

In the 275-seat state assembly elections, TDP only managed to get 23 seats, but its vote share stayed close to 40%, while the YSR Congress, which secured 151 seats, received 50% of the vote. The TDP lost three seats in the Lok Sabha while the YSR Congress managed to get 22 out of 25 seats with over 50% of the vote.

In New Delhi, Neelu Ranjan. It is once again thought that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) would rejoin the NDA in Andhra Pradesh. It'll be made public in two or three days. We are nearing the end of the negotiations about the seat sharing arrangement. TDP is reportedly prepared to offer the BJP 20 Assembly seats and six Lok Sabha seats, but the BJP is pressing for additional seats.

The announcement might come in two or three days.

Andhra Pradesh will hold simultaneous elections for the Lok Sabha and Assembly. 2018 saw TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu leave the NDA because he was so insistent on Andhra Pradesh's unique status and the package negotiated upon during partition. A meeting between BJP President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah and Chandrababu Naidu last week resulted in an in-principle agreement, according to well-placed sources. It was agreed that once the seat allocation was settled, it would be announced.

The catchphrase "crossing 400" will gain momentum as well.

Chief of the Janasena Party Pawan Kalyan, who was instrumental in the TDP's victory, has also agreed to the formula for seat allocation; he would get three Lok Sabha seats. The BJP anticipates gains in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with the return of TDP to NDA. The NDA's oldest ally is TDP.

While Jagan Mohan Reddy of the YSR Congress may face fierce opposition in the next elections with the restoration of the TDP to the NDA, on the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's NDA slogan will gain momentum beyond 400. In reality, the BJP has no foundation of support in Andhra Pradesh, and in the last election, it received less than 1% of the vote in both the Assembly and the Lok Sabha. Simultaneously, the BJP ally Janasena secured around six percent of the vote.

The seating formula might alter.

But the TDP, Janasena, and BJP's vote shares matched the Lok Sabha's. With the TDP, BJP, and Janasena combination, the gap in vote share with the YSR Congress might narrow considerably in such a scenario.
