News from Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Three sculptors created three distinct idols of Ramlala for the Ayodhya Ram temple. The black stone figure of Karnataka artist Arun Yogiraj has been chosen by the temple trust to be placed in the Ram temple's sanctum sanctorum on January 22. One can wonder what would happen to the two surviving statues in such a scenario. This material has been provided by Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust.

In Ayodhya, the ceremony for consecrating the Ram temple has begun. Lord Ramlala will enter his temple today in this order. The Ram Janmabhoomi complex will be the first to get the statue of Ram Lala. After that, the sanctum sanctorum will be cleansed, and Ramlala will enter it on Thursday, the following day. The Mysore sculptor Arun Yogiraj's idol of Ram Lalla has been chosen to be housed at the Ram temple. It is unclear what will happen to the other two sculptures, even though three were intended to be placed in Ram Janmabhoomi. This material was provided by Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust.

According to Champat Rai, the temple's first and second levels would likewise house the two idols. He said that one of the last two idols of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya would be installed using Vedic procedures by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust as soon as the first level of the Ram temple is completed. The second and final idol will then be placed on the second level, after the completion of the temple's construction by December 2025. "All the rituals will be carried out even while placing him on the throne," Rai said.

Each of the three sculptures is 51 inches tall

Let us inform you that for the Ram temple in Ayodhya, three sculptors created three distinct sculptures of Ramlala. The black stone figure of Karnataka artist Arun Yogiraj has been chosen by the temple trust to be placed in the Ram temple's sanctum sanctorum on January 22. The other two sculptures are sculpted by Karnataka's Ganesh Bhatt from black stone, and Rajasthan's Satya Narayan Pandey from white Makrana marble. Lord Ram at the age of five is shown in all three of the 51-inch-tall sculptures.

The famed Mumbai artist Vasudev Kamath's drawings served as the inspiration for all three of Ramlala's monuments. He has sent the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust pencil drawings of Ram Lalla. Kamath was born in Karkala, a town in Karnataka, and raised in Mumbai. Kamath is well-known for his historical and mythical subject matter paintings. His 28-piece Ramayana painting series is renowned around the world.

It is with great pleasure that we inform you that on January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will conduct the final rites of the week-long consecration ceremony of Ramlala. At the end of the week-long ritual, he will use a golden stick the size of a matchstick to open the deity's eyes.
