Union Minister Smriti Irani said on Wednesday that the international community is optimistic about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's win in this year's elections and anticipates his policies and social sector reforms being carried out.


During the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2024, the minister spoke with PTI and said that the eagerness of the world leadership, particularly the global financial elite, to welcome Prime Minister Modi back to Davos speaks volumes.


He said that at a time when many economies and the geopolitical environment as a whole are divided, the global leaders in attendance are discussing India as a flexible and dependable partner.


In addition to speaking to the assembly of global leaders virtually in 2021 and 2022, Modi attended the WEF annual conference held at this location in 2018.


Leading the Indian delegation at the 2024 annual conference, which is being attended by about 3,000 world leaders from government, industry, education, the arts and culture, and civil society, is Irani, who is also the Minister of Women with Child Development and Minority Affairs.


In response to a question about his discussions with world leaders, Irani expressed his confidence in India's development narrative, future possibilities, and political and policy stability in the nation.


He said that in a public interview, World Economic Forum President Borge Brende expressed his intention to welcome Prime Minister Modi back to Davos in 2025.


"This means that the entire world is rest assured that Prime Minister Modi is going to rise back to power," he said.


"Prime Minister Modi It was steadfast not only on policy reforms but also on making certain the social sector is not ignored in our growth story," Irani said.


According to the minister, Davos is celebrating India's contribution to the global agenda for equitable development.


"Apart from our digital competence in the IT sector, the fact that Prime Minister Narendra Modi demonstrates to the world how digital democracy works is also an aspect of discussion here in Davos," he said.


According to Irani, the world is now observing and aspires to imitate how Prime Minister Modi's plan for social transformation was carried out in India.

According to the Minister, there are already 41 million young people in India enrolled in higher education, and he plans to provide 35 million additional possibilities for them to do so.


Additionally, he said that 265 million children are enrolled in the K–12 system, demonstrating to the rest of the world our dominance in terms of skilled labor.


"So, I think there are many areas over us to celebrate, there are many areas wherein we have provided tremendous service to the world and the world needed a partner that can be trusted," he said.


Irani highlighted the global threat posed by AI-driven misinformation and disinformation, stating that India has established a robust framework to educate the public about the dangers of false news. is well-informed and involves participation from the media and the government. to reveal any false or misleading information.
