The new quick train that would link Pari Chowk and Greater Noida West will be built in two stages, according the authorities' revised plan. A representative informed IE News that the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is anticipated to submit a detailed project report (DPR) on the project by the end of March.


Which stations are going to be there?


The rapid rail will connect at least 12 stations, including Ghaziabad RRTS, Ghaziabad South, Knowledge Park 5, Surajpur, Pari Chowk, Ecotech-6, Dankaur, Yeda North (Sector-18), Yeda Central (Sector-21, 35), and Noida Airport. The plan calls for these stations to be connected to the rail system.


The project's total cost


The first phase of the project, which would build a corridor from Ghaziabad to Kasna, is expected to cost Rs 9,798 crore, while the second phase is expected to cost Rs 6,391 crore. The estimated total cost of the project is around Rs 16,189 crore.


According to authorities, the state government will pay 50% of the cost of the fast train project while the Center would only pay 20%. Greater Noida Authority and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) would each pay the remaining sum.


It is notable that the quick train project to link Jewar to Noida International Airport was authorized by the Uttar Pradesh government in December of last year.


By December 2024, Noida International Airport should be up and running. Simultaneously, the Sahibabad to Duhai priority portion of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS is now in service.
