Post Office e-Stamp Facility: The Indian Post Office has launched a new campaign to link the Digital India Mission with the general public. Under this, post offices are offering the e-stamp service for the first time in the nation. One of the post office's ambitious initiatives is being implemented in 11 Uttar Pradesh districts at the moment. A pilot project has been initiated for this idea. On January 1, 2024, this service was introduced at the Kanpur Nagar Main Post Office.


Under the digital mission, a pilot project was started.


Under the Digital India Mission, the Indian government has been working for a long time to link all of the states and districts with a single window system. In recent years, there has been a particular focus on digital payment systems because of this. in order for financial transactions to be more transparent. The Post Office and Stock Holding Corporation India Limited have been tasked with working together to expand the e-stamp's reach to the people of Uttar Pradesh.


Beginning in these 11 districts, the facility:


Kanpur and eleven other districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow GPO, Main Kachari Post Office of Prayagraj, Kachari Post Office of Gorakhpur, Varanasi Kachari Post Office, Agra Collectorate Sub Post Office, and Meerut Kachari Post Office, are included in the postal department, according to a Times of India report. The Saharanpur Head Post Office, Bijnor Head Post Office, Sector 34 Gautam Buddha Nagar Sub Post Office (Noida), and Ghaziabad Head Post Office have begun to operate this function.


The facility will extend to other locations as well.


Speaking at the e-stamp facility's opening, Kanpur Mayor Pramila Pandey expressed her happiness at the service's launch in her city. Since Post Office is the only institution in the nation with the resources and reach it does, it will be crucial to bringing Digital India's objective to every household. Additionally, he said that this post office building would soon be expanded to include additional post offices around the state.
