For central staff and pensioners, there is good news about the January 2024 DA hike. The dearness allowance will rise once again. DA will increase to 50%.

The Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) for central personnel may be raised by the Modi Government at the Center by 4% beginning in January 2024. But this hike is scheduled for March. Based on AICPI data through November 2023, there is a projected 4% rise. The Dearness Allowance (DA) will reach 50% if it is raised by 4 percent.

Workers at Central will get two positive updates.

Let's now discuss the second piece of excellent news. Employees at Central may also get the fitting factor reward. There has long been a need for this. There are now discussions about it rising this year. Should this occur, there will be a significant increase in pay. The 7th Pay Commission's rise in the fitment factor would result in a Rs 8,860 increase in government workers' base pay. After the DA Hike, this increment may be granted. The fitting factor is 2.57 times at this moment. In the next days, it is probably going to rise to 3.68 times. The base pay at Level-3 will rise from Rs. 18000 to Rs. 26000 in the event that this occurs. The workers' salaries would directly rise by Rs 8,000. Furthermore, this will have an effect on the DA payment.

Basic remuneration for X Class and TPTA is Rs. 18,000 per month.

Basic Salary: INR 18,000

Dearness Allowance: Rs 8,280 (46%)

Allowance for House Rent (27%): Rs 5,400

Rs 1,350 for transport allowance; Rs 621 for DA on transport allowance

Salary Gross: Rs. 33,651

Fitment Factor would result in a salary rise of Rs 49,420.

A central employee at Level-3 who receives a base pay of Rs 18,000 would get a salary of Rs 18,000 X 2.57 = Rs 46,260, minus allowances. The pay would be 26000X3.68= Rs 95,680 if the fitment ratio is raised to 3.68 times. Workers will gain greatly from this. This indicates that, in comparison to their present salaries, workers would get a raise of Rs 49,420 total. This computation is based on the minimum wage. Maximum wage earners are eligible for more perks.
