Renowned folk song performer Ranjana Rai from Bokaro has received an invitation to perform in the great Ramotsav in Ayodhya on January 22. Ranjana said that she had received an invitation from the Uttar Pradesh Department of Tourism and Art and Culture during a special interview with Local 18. She is scheduled to depart from Bokaro on January 19 and will take part in the Art Culture Department's rehearsal on January 21.

About her interest, Ranjana ji said that she was encouraged by her mother Sulekha Sinha to study folk songs and sing at Akashvani Kendra in Banaras when she was younger. Ranjana has performed folk music on a variety of stages.
