The event will bring together runners from all over the world, which will greatly increase TMM's appeal to people worldwide.


Early on January 21, the 19th edition of the renowned Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM), which is regarded as Asia's top running event, got underway. About 59,000 people put on their running shoes to participate in the event this year.


Beginning at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), the marathon took place.


The event will bring together runners from all over the world, which will greatly increase TMM's appeal to people worldwide.


10,711 participants in the marathon, 15,218 in the half marathon, 7,130 in the Open 10K, 20,590 in the Dream Run, 1,782 in the Senior Citizens event, and 1,114 in the Champions with Disability category make up the chronological order of participation.


Together with Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other ministers, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde officially opened the marathon.

Tata Group sent a video greeting for all the runners on Twitter, with Chairman N. Chandrasekaran providing advice.

Among the Bollywood stars taking part in this marathon are Rahul Bose, Sagarika Ghosh, Tara Sharma, Nikita Dutta, Rahul Koechlin, and Milind Soman.
