IMD Weather Update: According to the Meteorological Department, there is a chance of severe to very cold weather today, January 6, in various areas of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh.


People in North India are suffocating from the extreme cold. People now find it challenging to leave their homes for this reason. According to the Meteorological Department, there's a possibility that the cold may continue to rise. Today, there is a chance of a cold wave across Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab.


The Meteorological Department reports that Delhi, the nation's capital, will have chilly weather today, Saturday, January 6. In addition, there will be rain in the next days, which will make the colder even. Delhi is expected to have a high temperature of 15 degrees Celsius today and a low temperature of 9 degrees.


IMD said that on the 9th and 10th, there may be rain in New Delhi as a result of a new western disturbance. Speaking about Delhi's AQI, on Friday the air quality in seven different parts of the city remained in the severe category. An AQI of 0 to 50 is considered "good," 51 to 100 "satisfactory," 201 to 200 "moderate," 301 to 400 "very poor," and 401 to 500 "poor." is regarded as "serious."


According to the Meteorological Department, January 6 may bring days that range from very cold to severe in certain areas of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh. In addition, there will be a lot of fog in various areas of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu & Kashmir have also received alerts on fog.


In addition, there is a severe fog warning in effect till January 7 in several regions of Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
