According to a statement from DTDC, this recently opened office will provide cutting-edge transshipment solutions to its clients in South East Asia and the Australian Peninsula, therefore bolstering the company's worldwide reach, which already includes South East Asia.

The express logistics business DTDC said on Wednesday that it has opened an office in Kuala Lumpur and is now operating in Malaysia via its subsidiary, DTDC Global Express Pte Ltd.

According to a statement from DTDC, this recently opened office will provide cutting-edge transshipment solutions to its clients in South East Asia and the Australian Peninsula, therefore bolstering the company's worldwide reach, which already includes South East Asia.

Australia and Singapore already have DTDC. Last year, the firm worked with Aramex to improve its cross-border logistics capabilities as part of its goals for worldwide development.

The firm claims that Malaysia has a sizable Indian diaspora and has a positive import and export connection with India.

It said that in addition to managing local deliveries inside Malaysia, the recently founded business would provide export and import capabilities from Australia, Singapore, and India.

Subhashish Chakraborty, Founder and CMD of DTDC Express Limited, said, "The expansion into Malaysia could improve our capabilities in the region as well as offer seamless shipping alternatives to our global network, especially to countries like India, Australia, UAE, as well as UK."

With an economy valued at US$1.2 trillion, he said that Malaysia is exhibiting great development potential as a result of growing domestic manufacturing.

Recent projections indicate that the $20 billion in bilateral commerce between India and Malaysia would increase to $25 billion by 2026. Chakraborty said, "Our expansion in Malaysia aims to make the most on this opportunity."

According to the corporation, the new sales office would use DTDC international solutions to provide retail and MSME clients easy and affordable shipping alternatives.

The firm claims that DTDC can reach over 220 places worldwide and has over 16,000 physical client access points.
