Budget 2024: The prime minister said that when elections are scheduled, the government would still follow the custom of proposing an interim budget.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will submit the interim budget on February 1 during the budget session, which is set to conclude on February 9.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said before to the Parliamentary budget session that the Finance Minister will give the budget along with "guidelines."
When elections eventually occur, the PM said that the government would still follow the custom of providing an interim budget. Modi said, "We will present a full budget once the government is created after the elections."
He cautioned and begged the opposition not to interfere with the proceedings. The Prime Minister said, "I hope that the MPs who have developed a habit of flouting democratic values will introspect about what they did during the time they served as Members of Parliament."
The prime minister said that the nation is making unprecedented strides and that, with the blessings of the populace, the path toward "inclusive and all-round" growth would continue.
He announced that the Women's Reservation Bill, also known as the Nari Shakti Vandan Act Bill, had been passed, marking the completion of the first session in the new Parliament House.
He said, "After this, on January 26, we observed how the country experienced the endless possibilities of women power, its bravery along with the strength of its determination."
