New Guidelines for EPFO Verification: In order to amend or rectify the date of birth (DoB), EPFO has modified its document verification procedure. The UIDAI has made it clear that Aadhaar serves as evidence of date of birth. Aadhaar is accepted as a legitimate form of identification and proof of residence, however it is not acceptable as documentation of birthdate. Aadhaar's 12-digit identity number, which is provided by UIDAI on behalf of the Indian government, is what makes it special.

To further elucidate the situation, an office note dated December 20, 2018, released by MeitY via UIDAI, unequivocally declares that, subject to confirmation, the Aadhaar number confirms identification; nonetheless, it cannot be used as evidence of date of birth. Not anything to think about.
