Since January 13 is the second Saturday of the month and Makar Sankranti occurs on that day, there will be a long weekend in these states. Under such circumstances, several states will observe three straight vacations on January 13 (second Saturday), January 14 (Sunday), and January 15 (Monday).

January 26 (Friday): In honor of Republic Day, banks will be closed across the nation.


On January 27, the fourth Saturday, banks will not be open.


The 28th of January is a Sunday, thus banks will be closed.
