There are rumors that the Ayushman Bharat initiative allows for more insurance coverage.

CNBC TV18 reports that the administration is thinking of raising this family insurance coverage. Reportedly, the administration is considering raising the current cover amount by fifty percent. It is anticipated that this will be publicly announced by the government in the interim budget. The choice hasn't been made yet, however.

On September 23, 2018, the government unveiled the Ayushman Bharat initiative. This program was then introduced in accordance with the 2017 National Health Policy. This is the biggest health plan in the world. As of right now, this initiative has distributed Ayushman cards to 25.21 crore individuals. It is anticipated that this figure would surpass 30 crores in the near future.

Under this initiative, authorization has also been granted to 5.68 crore hospitals. A total of Rs 69,961 crore had been registered under this plan at the same time.
