The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has announced the implementation of these regulations, which are now in effect. As per the ministry's statement, you won't need to wait to get a driving license to take the RTO exam anymore. Any accredited driving school is where you may register for a driver's license. In order to get a certificate from Driving course School, candidates must complete their course there and pass their exam. The applicant's driver's license will be granted based on this certificate.


Which new regulations apply?


Regarding training centers, the Ministry of Road and Transport has also issued certain recommendations and requirements. it covers everything from the training facilities to the trainer's educational background. Let's comprehend this.


The authorized agency will make sure that the training facilities for light motor vehicles, three-wheelers, and two-wheelers have at least one acre of land; two acres will be needed for the centers for medium and large passenger goods vehicles or trailers.


In addition to having at least five years of driving experience and a pass in the 12th grade, the trainer should be knowledgeable about traffic laws.


A curriculum for instruction has also been mandated by the ministry. The training for driving light motor vehicles will run up to 29 hours over a maximum of 4 weeks. There will be two sections to the curriculum for these driving centers. Both theoretical and practical.


Learning to drive on basic roads, country roads, highways, city roads, reversing and parking, uphill and downhill driving, etc., takes twenty-one hours. Eight hours of the training will be devoted to theory, which will cover topics such as comprehending traffic education, understanding the causes of accidents, driving fuel economy, and knowing road etiquette and road rage.
