For the sake of all Ram lovers, January 22, 2024, ought to be a public holiday. Thus, we kindly ask that you proclaim January 22, 2024, a public holiday.

In a letter sent on Sunday, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad urged Delhi LG Vinay Kumar Saxena to proclaim January 22 as a public holiday. This would allow all followers of Lord Ram to attend the "historic" consecration event at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The consecration event is scheduled on January 22 and invites hundreds of saints along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Live broadcasts of the event will be available on several TV networks and social media sites. "On January 22, the newly constructed temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya will be dedicated. This event will be seen by millions of Ram lovers from both India and outside. Every Ram fan wants to savor this historic occasion." President Kapil Khanna and secretary Surendra Kumar Gupta of the VHP's Delhi section sent a letter to the Delhi LG.

He declared, "Public holiday January 22, 2024, so that all Ram devotees can celebrate this occasion." Thus, we kindly request that January 22, 2024, be observed as a public holiday.”
