A few days ago, the unexpected increase of pilgrims to the Sabarimala hill shrine revealed a problem with mismanagement. Indian Railways hence took this step. The Mandalam-Makaravilakku season began on November 17 of this year, and it is well known that large crowds are seen during this time of year.
BJP and Congress, among other opposition parties, accused the Kerala administration of having managerial problems. On December 13, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan defended the government's position, asserting that the Lord Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala was under control and that the government apparatus was actively getting involved in the temple's operations.
