Rajasthan Election Results 2023: As the lead starts to grow, BJP lawmaker Diya Kumari's office greets an NDTV journalist with smiles and cries of "Modi, Modi."

Rajasthan is certain to continue its custom of supporting the incumbent government, with the BJP continuing to lead the governing Congress by a wide margin.

At 12:30 pm, the trends showed that the Congress had 73 seats while the BJP held 111 seats.

'Modi, Modi' chants and beaming grins greeted the NDTV reporter at BJP leader Diya Kumari's office as the lead started to build.

Potential chief ministerial candidate Diya Kumari said, "Apart from the Modi factor, the women factor played an important role." He further said that "the results of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh has established the tone for the general elections."

"As far as the choice of chief minister is concerned, we have departed the decision to the high command," he said when asked who may be the BJP's nominee for prime minister.

After thirty years of alternating between the Congress and the BJP, Rajasthan stunned everyone in 2018 by not electing a majority for any party. Congress, with the backing of Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party, has established the government despite lacking one seat out of the 200-member House.
