 PhonePe introduces a smart speaker for accurate and practical payment monitoring at retail establishments

More than 100,000 gadgets are in use in eight Indian cities.

Payment alerts are available in eleven Indian languages on a smart speaker.

On August 4, 2022, at National: The best finance platform in India, PhonePe, has announced the release of its smart speaker, which allows for easy and dependable payment monitoring at retail locations. Currently available in eight locations, PhonePe merchant partners are using over 100,000 of the smart speaker's units.

The PhonePe smart speaker has a cheap monthly rental fee of Rs. 50 and gives payment alerts in 11 Indian languages. It also has a battery life of up to 4 days and doorstep installation for only Rs. 50. As part of the launch offer, if the merchant completes more than 25 transactions in a month, both the initial setup and monthly leasing are accessible for only Re 1. Additionally, there is a lifetime warranty against manufacture faults with this gadget.

"At PhonePe, we are constantly introducing new offerings to arrive at it easier for our merchant partners to run and expand their businesses," indicated Vivek Lohcheb, Head of Offline Business, during the launch.
