According to the data, from January 2023, 39,123 units have been registered in the Kolkata Metropolitan Area (KMA).

With 37% of all apartment registrations in Kolkata during November, the northern area topped the micro-market registration list.

As to Knight Frank, a real estate expert, there were 3,656 registered flats in Kolkata as of November 2023, which represents a 20 per cent rise from the previous year.

However, because of the base impact of October 2023, apartment registrations saw an 18% decrease month-over-month (MoM) as compared to the prior month of October.

According to the data, from January 2023, 39,123 units have been registered in the Kolkata Metropolitan Area (KMA).

51 percent of all registrations in November 2023 were for apartments between 501 and 1,000 square feet, and sales in this market segment were consistent with the prior year. The percentage of apartments larger than 1,000 square feet dropped to 23%. According to the research, by the end of November 2023, the percentage of units up to 500 square feet had slightly climbed to 26%.

With 37% of all apartment registrations in Kolkata during November, the northern area topped the micro-market registering list. With 32% of all registrations in November 2022, the northern area ranked second a year ago.
