With the assembly elections approaching, and the trend indicating that the BJP is leading three states, the party said on Sunday that the people had backed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership as well as rejected the 'false promises' of the Congress.

The results, according to Union minister and BJP poll chief in Rajasthan Pralhad Joshi, demonstrated that voters had taken Mr. Modi's "guarantee to deliver".
