Latest Update on Aadhaar Cards: UIDAI consistently promotes updating Aadhaar cards that are ten years old or older. This offer is just for Aadhaar cards that have never received an upgrade.

There's a significant change that you should be aware of concerning your Aadhaar. The deadline for upgrading an Aadhar card for free is Thursday, December 14. The myAadhaar platform offers a free Aadhaar card update service. A fee of Rs 50 must be paid in order to update an Aadhaar card via any Aadhaar center. December 14, 2023, is the final day to get free updates on the myAadhaar site.

Aadhaar card users are constantly encouraged by UIDAI to update their address proof and identification credentials. This is specifically for those individuals whose Aadhar card has not been updated and is older than ten years.

There are two methods for updating demographic information on an Aadhaar card, such as name, date of birth, and address. You may update it online or by going to the closest Aadhaar center.

How do I use this free resource?

Using their Aadhaar card number, the owner of the card must first log in to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/portal. To the registered cellphone number, a One Time Password (OTP) will be provided. Users will then need to update the documents to re-validate the information by going to Document Update and verifying their data. Proof of residence and identification must be supplied on the official website in order to use this function.

Step 1: Initially, access the Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal and choose the "Proceed to update Address" option.

Step 2: After that, use your Aadhaar number and the OTP that was issued to your registered cellphone number to log in to this site.

Step 3: To verify a genuine address, click Proceed to change Address.

Step #4. Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number here, then choose Send OTP.

Step Five. Fill out the OTP that is delivered to the registered mobile phone in the next stage. You will now be able to access your Aadhaar account.

Step Six. Here, choose the option to change the address using address proof and enter the new address. The "Update Address via Secret Code" option also allows you to edit the address.

Step 7: The residence address must be entered in the Proof of Address option.

Step – 8. Next, choose the document from the list of document types that will be provided as evidence.

Step Nine. The scanned copy of the address proof must now be submitted, and you must click the Submit button.

Step Number Ten. Your 14-digit Update Request Number (URN) will now be produced after your Aadhaar update request has been submitted.

Verify the update request's status.

You may verify the progress of the Aadhaar address update with the aid of URN. You may download and print the new version as soon as the address is changed. On the UIDAI website, there is a list of all the papers that you may use as documentation to change your address.
