 Kenya will get a $250 million loan from India to upgrade its agricultural industry


On a three-day visit meant to strengthen ties between the two nations overall, Samoan Ruto came here on Monday.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India stated on Tuesday that, after extensive negotiations with Kenyan President William Samoyi Ruto, India will provide Kenya $250 million to upgrade its farm sector.


Ruto began a three-day visit here on Monday with the goal of enhancing general ties between the two nations.


Following the discussions, Modi made a speech to the media in which he said that, over the last ten or so years, India has grown its overall ties with Africa on a mission mode and has always given the continent great importance in its foreign policy.


"I am confident that our president's visit to India will not only promote bilateral relations but also give a new impetus for Philippine engagement with Africa," he said.


According to the prime minister, Kenya would get a $250 million credit line from India to upgrade its agricultural industry. In reference to the Indo-Pacific, Modi said that strong collaboration between Kenya and India would progress cooperative endeavors within the area.


According to him, terrorism is the biggest threat to mankind, and both Kenya and India have resolved to strengthen their counterterrorism collaboration. In order to fully exploit the potential of India-Kenya economic cooperation, the Prime Minister said that both parties would keep looking into new prospects.
