Jewar Airport Connectivity: Learn more about the Rapid Rail connection to Noida Airport

Rapid Rail Ghaziabad: In two months, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation will need to prepare the DPR for the new line. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 16000 crore. There will be two stages to its completion.

Noida International Airport: The Jewar-based airport is anticipated to open for business the following year. It has also emerged that the biggest airport in Asia, Noida, would be the departure point of the first IndiGo aircraft. At the airport, construction is progressing quickly, with around 75% of the project finished. In addition, plans are underway to facilitate passenger access to the airport. There has been talk recently about plans to construct an additional road connecting Noida and Greater Noida.

There will be less vehicular pressure on the freeway.

Passengers would be able to get to the airport faster and the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will see less traffic as a result of the new route's development. Currently, there are also attempts underway to link the airport with quick rail. A new route would be created from Ghaziabad for this. This line, which will be around 71 km long, will be linked to the Delhi-Meerut RRTS station at Ghaziabad. On this, work is anticipated to begin shortly.

The duty of producing the DPR for the new route within two months has been placed on the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). The estimated cost of this project is Rs 16000 crore. There will be two stages to the completion of the project. By 2031, the project is anticipated to be finished. In actuality, for the last three years, there has been no progress made on the proposal for high-speed internet at the airport being constructed in Jewar. High-speed link from Delhi's IGI Airport was previously planned. Yet it was unable to take flight.

A feasibility assessment was submitted to the government for both routes.

According to the Yamuna Development Authority, IGI Airport would see an increase in passenger traffic if fast rail access is made available to it. However, the NCRTC has discussed linking the Rapid Rail to the Ghaziabad RRTS, and the government has received the feasibility assessment for both lines. The feasibility study for connecting Ghaziabad RRTC has been authorized by the government. The first phase of the project is expected to cost around Rs 9 thousand crore. The three district authorities, the state government, and the federal government will all contribute to the cost of the road.

There would be 71 kilometers of travel time between Ghaziabad and Jewar Airport.

The distance of the route connecting to Ghaziabad RRTS from Noida International Airport is about 71 kilometers. The whole line will be elevated, with 11 stations: Knowledge Park-5, Surajpur, Pari Chowk, Ecotech-6, Dankaur, Yida, Ghaziabad RRTS, Ghaziabad South, Greater Noida West (Sector-4), Greater Noida (Sector-2), and Dankaur. Noida International Airport (Jewar), Yida Central (Sector-21, 35), and North (Sector-18). In the first phase, seven stations will be constructed, with work commencing from the Ghaziabad side. In the second phase, the remaining 4 stations will be constructed.
