Updates on Cyclone Michaung and Canceled flights: Life in Chennai has been disturbed by Cyclonic Storm Michaung. Chennai Airport had to be closed as a result.

Cyclone Michaung: The states of South India are now experiencing severe effects from Cyclonic Storm Michaung. Chennai has been affected by this cyclonic storm to the greatest extent. More than a thousand flights linking Chennai, Tamil Nadu's capital, had to be canceled, according to an NDTP report. The airport in the city had to be shut down entirely as a result of the intense rainfall brought on by Cyclonic Storm Michong.

Vistara Airlines has canceled 10 flights since yesterday, compared to Indigo's 550 cancellations so far. The water that has gathered in Chennai as a result of the rain is still unable to escape. This has led to a scenario in the city similar to a flood. Moreover, Cyclonic Storm Michong is gradually approaching Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh is experiencing severe rainfall as a result of this.

Rain caused the city to flood.

Due to inclement weather, Chennai Airport closed its runway for takeoffs and landings yesterday. At around midday, Indigo started operating again out of Chennai. Chennai saw tremendous, torrential rains since Sunday night as a result of Cyclone Michong, which left the city completely inundated. Flights and trains were canceled. Andhra Pradesh is probably in the path of the storm shortly. The airport in Visakhapatnam is now closed.
