Indian Railways provides food services. We make use of the Indian Railways catering service while we are traveling long distances. In such circumstances, it happens often that throughout the trip, one inadvertently receives rotten or incorrect food from the catering staff. If this occurs to you as well, you may quickly file a complaint about it.

Indian Railways' food service sometimes provides us with inaccurate or defective mileage while we ride by train. You may now readily lament wasted mileage. To guarantee that the food served to passengers on special trains is hygienic and of high quality, IRCTC has assigned an IRCTC Food Inspector.

For the special Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto, Tejas, and Vande Bharat trains, these appointments have been made. You may simply file a complaint with the Railways if you ride on these trains and have any issues with the food that they give. Additionally, Food Inspector Supervisors in Mail/Express trains have been appointed by the government.

Here is where you may complain.

Using Indian Railways' Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS), you call 139. You then need to choose your language. In order to file a food and drink-related complaint, you must hit three buttons. At the same time, you need to hit the star (*) in order to speak with the customer support agent.

You will need to provide your seat number and PNR number in order to file a complaint while on the road. Simultaneously, you may file a complaint with number 139 if the things you purchase at a railway station store cost more than the MRP. Using the Railway app, you can conveniently file a complaint as well. You will be required to provide details on the food sellers or booths that are situated on the station's platform.
