A robust advance in equities benchmark indexes over the holiday-shortened week helped the top 10 businesses increase their market values by Rs 1,29,899.22 crore.


HDFC Bank's market value rose to Rs 12,97,972.04 crore, a gain of Rs 29,828.84 crore.

During the course of last week's vacations, the market valuation of eight of the top ten most valuable firms increased by a combined Rs 1,29,899.22 crore, and benchmark stock indexes saw a strong spike.


The BSE benchmark increased by 1,133.3 points, or 1.59 percent, last week. On December 28, the index hit an all-time high of 72,484.34.


On Monday, the stock markets were closed in observance of Christmas.


Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys were laggards, while Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Bharti Airtel, ITC, State Bank of India, and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) were among the gainers. Among the top ten winners were Hindustan Unilever, Bharti Airtel, LIC, HDFC Bank, and LIC.


HDFC Bank's market value rose to Rs 12,97,972.04 crore, a gain of Rs 29,828.84 crore. With LIC's addition of Rs 25,426.49 crore, its value increased to Rs 5,27,062.06 crore.


The value of Hindustan Unilever increased by Rs 20,735.14 crore to Rs 6,25,778.39 crore, while the valuation of Bharti Airtel increased by Rs 24,510.96 crore to Rs 5,80,645.54 crore. Market capitalization (mcap) increased by Rs 9,164.74 crore to Rs 5,76,809.77 crore for ITC and Rs 13,633.07 crore to Rs 17,48,827.92 crore for Reliance Industries.


Its value increased to Rs 5,72,915.46 crore with the addition of Rs 4,730.04 crore by State Bank of India. A rise of Rs 1,869.94 crore brought ICICI Bank's mcap to Rs 6,98,965.47 crore.


But Infosys' value dropped by Rs 7,946.24 crore to Rs 6,40,351.80 crore, while TCS's fell by Rs 11,105.22 crore to Rs 13,88,591.70 crore. As the most valuable corporation, Reliance Industries was still ranked first, followed by TCS, Infosys, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Bharti Airtel, ITC, State Bank of India, as well as LIC.
