Officials claim that the UGC has issued warnings to edtech businesses and institutions that provide degrees under cooperative agreements with international universities that it does not recognize. Additionally, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has warned students against enrolling in such courses and reaffirmed that none of these degrees would be recognized.


UGC Secretary Manish stated, "It has been noted that a large number of colleges and higher education institutions (HEIs) have partnered with overseas providers or institutions of higher learning that are not recognized by the Commission in order to try and award degrees to students in other countries. supplying infrastructure." said. "These franchise agreements are not allowed, and UGC will not recognize any such degree or program.
