Many states have been covered in a thick layer of fog since yesterday. In most cities, visibility has been measured to be less than 20 meters. Because of this, the Uttar Pradesh government has decreed a two-day state vacation and has modified school schedules in an effort to alleviate the children's suffering.

UP School Timings 2023: Beginning on December 27, 2023, most of the northern states of India are seeing a sharp decrease in temperature. In Uttar Pradesh, fatal incidents have also happened in several locations under a thick layer of fog (Weather Today). For this reason, the government of Uttar Pradesh has made the significant decision to help schoolchildren.

In many Uttar Pradeshn cities, visibility is less than twenty meters. Simultaneously, little toddlers are also disturbed by fog and cold. In light of these factors as well as the current weather, the Uttar Pradesh government has declared a two-day vacation. In addition, the times of the schools have altered. Different District Magistrates, however, are free to make their own choices in this respect.

Tomorrow, schools will not open.

On December 28 and 29, 2023, all schools in Uttar Pradesh would stay closed. The cold and fog have been taken into consideration while granting this vacation for Thursday and Friday. Following this, the majority of schools will be closed on Saturday and Sunday as well. Winter break has already been declared by the UP government. That states that all schools will be closed from December 31, 2023, until January 14, 2024.

The school schedule in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, has been adjusted by the district education officer from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Additionally, the Aligarh DM has ordered that all board schools remain closed on the 28th and 29th. Mathura schools will also operate on a 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. schedule. Jalaun's first through eighth grade schools will shut simultaneously and stay closed until December 31, 2023.

UP has a 15-day winter vacation.

In majority of North India's states, winter vacations have been announced (Winter Holidays 2023). The Uttar Pradesh Yogi administration has also declared the state's winter holiday (UP Winter holiday 2023). Uttar Pradesh's schools will be closed from December 31, 2023, until January 14, 2024. UP schools will now reopen on January 15, 2024.
