It has now been determined that the CBSE class 10th and 12th board examinations would not include division and distinction. This information was provided today by a top Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) official. According to Board's Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj, candidates for the 10th and 12th grade board exams would no longer get an overall division, distinction, or aggregate score. In addition, he said that the admissions committee or employer may choose the top five topics to be taken if an applicant has submitted more than five subjects.

Where will the ability to choose the top five topics be needed?

According to Sanyam Bhardwaj, the board does not compute the students' grades or provide the percentage of passing. In such cases, the employing company or the admissions office may provide the necessary information on the number of marks received for further study or employment.

The merit list has already been discontinued by CBSE.

The CBSE Board continues to make judgments on a periodic basis to end harmful competitiveness in exams. The merit list release procedure was discontinued some time ago, along with phrases like "Top," "Top-3," "Top-5," and "Top-5." The board ceased to provide a percentage. It has now also chosen to discontinue the differentiation and division scheme.
