According to him, identical emails were sent on Tuesday night to numerous airports around the nation by someone posing as a member of the terrorist organisation "Phanning." Mangaluru was one of those locations.
The email from 'xonocikonoci10@beeble.com' states: "One of your aircraft has bombs inside of it. Actually, your airport has bombs as well. In a few hours, the explosives, which are securely disguised, will detonate. I swear to you, I'll murder." Everybody. We are the "Funning" terrorist organization.
When airport staff discovered the email on Wednesday at 11:20 a.m., they promptly notified the municipal police, who carried out a thorough investigation at the airport.
Anupam Aggarwal, the commissioner of city police, claimed that more checkpoints had been installed to increase security around the airport. According to him, investigations were conducted by a bomb detection and disposal team and an anti-sabotage unit.
A meeting was also conducted between airport authorities and the Bajpe Police Inspector. Later, after obtaining approval from the local court, Bajpe police filed a case for a crime punishable under section 507 of the IPC based on a complaint made by the Adani Airport administration.
