Just before it was about to take off on a routine sortie, an Indian Navy fighter aircraft had a tire rupture on the taxiway at the Dabolim airport in Goa on Tuesday afternoon, according to authorities.


A blown tire caused the aircraft, a MiG-29K, to get stranded on the taxiway, but fortunately no one was hurt. Authorities shut down the airport runway until 4 pm due to the incident, he added, which had an impact on passenger flight operations.
